Faith Formation

“Christians are made not born”, this affirmation underlies our efforts in Christian Faith Formation at St. Luke’s. Being formed as a Christian is a life long process. When parents and godparents present children for Baptism, they are asked, “will you be responsible for seeing that the child you present is brought up in the Christian faith and life?”. “I WILL WITH GOD’S HELP” is their response. In the description of Confirmation, quoting the Book of common Prayer, “in the course of their Christian Development, those baptized at an early age are expected, when they are ready and have been duly prepared, to make a mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism.”

Striving to become more and more a mission church, we are committed to forming mature Christians who seek to live out the Baptismal Covenant in their daily lives.
