Welcome Newcomers and Visitors

“The door is always open.”

Finding Your Place

We are committed to welcoming you wherever you are in your own Faith Journey.  The following are a few tips on ways to make your time with us as comfortable as possible.  We look forward to getting to know you!

  • During Sunday services, you will encounter friendly Greeters and Ushers at the church entrances to welcome all.  They can assist you in finding your way before and after services.  Please do not hesitate to introduce yourself to the Greeters and Ushers as a newcomer.
  • Each of the pews has slots holding Welcome Cards.  You can fill out one of these cards to indicate your interest in obtaining more information about St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.  This will give us an opportunity to get to know you better and serve your special needs or inquiries.  The Welcome Card may be placed in the alms basin or given to an Usher or Greeter at the end of the service.
  • All who are baptized are welcome to participate in Holy Communion at St. Luke’s regardless of tradition or belief.  If you are not baptized, please feel free to come to the altar for a blessing.
  • Following the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (9:30 during the summer) services on Sunday, you are welcome to join us for coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall, located down the hallway from the Narthax.
  • A guest registry is located in the Narthax, at the top of the stairs.  You may sign this register with your name, current city/state and parish to show us that you visited.
  • Detailed information in regards to St. Luke’s address, phone number, service shedule, nursery and church office hours can be found in the right hand column of the St. Luke’s website.
