I’m deeply grateful to everyone who participated in our annual meeting. I left feeling hopeful and uplifted, carried along by all the great things we accomplished in 2021 and the wonders that await us in 2022. Today, I’m offering special thanks to everyone who helped make it such a success.
A big thanks to everyone who offered a report, both in writing and during the meeting: Shanna Altrichter, Amy Caucutt, Bert Reiman, Doug Butler, Gary Whicker, Nancy Brubaker, and Debbie Whicker. You helped to show the fullness of the talents God has given us.
Thank you, retiring vestry members: Shanna Altrichter, Charlie Graves, Bert Reiman, and Debbie Whicker. I’m grateful for your willingness to serve and your faithful leadership. Now that your terms have ended: Rest well, good and faithful servants!
Thank you, new vestry members, for your willingness to step into new roles to guide St. Luke’s over the coming year: Andrew Altrichter, Barbara McLeod, and Harold Solbrig.
Thank you continuing vestry members and officers: Cathy Botz, Doug Butler, Amy Caucutt, Cathy Manduca, Diane O’Mara (now in a new role as Junior Warden), Kit Muellner, and Gary Whicker. Your wisdom, creativity, hard work, and leadership are all deeply appreciated.
I want to offer special thanks to Amy Caucutt and Diane O’Mara. Over the past year, they have worked tirelessly on behalf of St. Luke’s in so many ways that it would be impossible to list everything they’ve done. At this moment, I am most aware of their work in coordinating the annual report and meeting. Together with our administrator, Karen Gould, they went through St. Luke’s past reports and present activities with a fine-toothed comb, looking for anything that might be worth noting and celebrating. Collecting reports from a host of authors, they pulled them together into a report that one of our members called “the most thorough and uplifting” report we’ve had in years. I couldn’t agree more. Thank you so much for your hard work in documenting and celebrating St. Luke’s many accomplishments.
Finally, I want to reiterate my thanks to each of you. We’ve been through a heck of a year together and I remain impressed and humbled by your generosity, commitment, and faith. I’m so grateful to be part of this beloved community of St. Luke. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as a priest among people as wonderful as all of you.
Thank you.
With much love,
Justin
