I’m back in the office. And you know what? It feels good! I’d been working from home since things shutdown last spring, coming in as needed, mostly meeting on Zoom and by phone, even holding online office hours. But no more!
I’ll be here, at St. Luke’s most days of the week. Because much of my work time gets booked up with meetings or off-site commitments, I know how important it is to make time every week for you to drop in. So, I’m keeping office hours every Wednesday afternoon from noon to three. During that time, I’ll be in the office and free to connect with you. To be clear: I’m in the office lots of other times, too, but on Wednesday afternoons you can be sure I’ll be here and free from meetings or other commitments. If those office hours don’t work for you, just get in touch and we’ll make an appointment for another time.
While we’re on the subject, I’ll add that I take Fridays as a Sabbath day in order to rest and recharge. Barring emergencies, I make every effort to abstain from work on Fridays. Saturdays are the other half of my weekend, although I certainly do attend to church activities and events on Saturdays—and am quite happy to do so.
I’m enjoying being back in the office and having more in-person interactions with all of you. I’m excited to be part of this faith community. And I’m looking forward to what the next season of our life together brings. We’ve through a lot in the last eighteen months and I’m grateful to each and every one of you for all you do for St. Luke’s.
Blessings,
Justin
