I’m back after a few weeks away. My vacation time was good—time with friends,
camping with family, and a few house projects crossed off the list. After a lovely
period of rest, I’m excited to be back at it, working to build a strong and vibrant
community here at St. Luke’s.
Part of what makes church meaningful is our connection to each other and our
mutual support. On Saturday our community is gathering to do exactly that. We’re
coming together to celebrate the life of one St. Luke’s dearest members, Chris
Batchelder. Chris died in April and was laid to rest in St. Luke’s columbarium a few
weeks later. This Saturday, September 11, you’re invited to join Kay, Jennifer, and
the rest of Chris’s family as we celebrate his life, offer comfort to those who
mourn, and give thanks for all God’s blessings.
The service begins at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at St. Luke’s beginning at
10:00 a.m. Due to the pandemic, we are unable to offer the excellent luncheon that
is St. Luke’s long-standing tradition.
I hope to see you at St. Luke’s this weekend.
Yours in Christ,
Justin
